Faces of the Academy

The Principal of the Academy is Mr Charlo Bonnici, who is also the (parent company) Vassallo Group’s Director of HR and Communications. He is assisted by Ms Christabelle Tabone, who is the Training and Development Officer. The Precincts Officer is Mr Lawrence Sultana.

The Academy employs a number of distinguished lecturers in various academic subjects. They are:

Mr Holger Saliba

Holger is a visiting lecturer in the area of Social Care at the University of Malta. He is also involved in training organised by Jobsplus (Malta’s national employment agency), NGOs and private companies. He holds a Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Holger is currently teaching students in the IVQ Diploma in Health Care classes. Holger is a visiting lecturer in the area of Social Care at the University of Malta. Ms Rosette Farrugia Bonello

Rosette, a Research and Programme Manager at the UN International Institute on Ageing, specialises in dementia. She holds a Master’s Degree in Dementia Studies as well as qualifications in Gerontology, Geriatrics and Psychology. Rosette also provides lectures for the IVQ Specialist Diploma courses.

Mr Rudolph Cini

Rudolph is the Chief Nursing Manager at the Maltese Ministry for Social Services. His area of speciallsation is Infection Control, having worked in this area for many years. Rudolph, a pioneer tutor, teaches units related to the IVQ Diploma in HealthCare.

Mr Geoffrey Formosa

Geoffrey has been dispensing Physiotherapy within different medical departments and clinical settings for the last 20 years. He graduated from the University of Malta and completed his Masters Degree at Middlesex University in the UK. Geoffrey teaches different units in the IVQ Specialist Diploma course.

Ms Daniela Carabott Pawley

Daniela is a Physiotherapist by profession and a member of the Malta Association of Physiotherapists. She has been working in this field for the past five years. Daniela lectures in the IVQ Specialist Diploma in HealthCare course.
